There is something moody yet elegant about the pairing of black onyx and marcasite.

This gorgeous ring features an unusual hexagon shaped piece of black onyx surrounded by two rows of dazzling rose cut marcasite set in 3-dimensional scalloped edge sterling silver.

The back of this ring is highly detailed and just as beautiful as the front. A true heirloom piece.

This ring is made by the Uncas Mfg Co., which began in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911, and became one of the largest manufacturers of costume jewelry rings by the 1950s. The company is still in business today producing licensed jewelry for Disney and Universal Studios.

Onyx has a few very faint surface scratches. Some of the prongs around the onyx are bent and look like they may have been adjusted to better hold in the stone. Two of the marcasite pieces have chips in them, which are only noticeable with a loupe. They still sparkle in the light, so you would never know anything is wrong with them. There are some light scratches and wear to the back of the shank, which is common with all vintage rings. None of these flaws detract. Priced accordingly.
