Doe eyes and feminine, vintage-inspired design and tailoring of bygone eras -- it's easy to see why the "Biba Look" became so iconic in London in the 1960s and '70s.
While this is not an original Biba set, it is the next best thing!
Designed by Jeff Banks, who started the London boutique, Clobber, which was the forerunner of Biba, this two-piece dress showcases all the elements that made the Biba Look such a success!
Fashioned in a beautiful buttery yellow and blue floral cotton with a tonal plaid pattern often seen in Victorian-era fabrics, this jaw-dropping set features a deep square neckline, peplum waist and enormous leg-of-mutton sleeves. Bodice has wonderful blue decorative top stitching and it also ties in the back with attached ties.
Skirt is fitted at the waist and A-line.
Bodice fastens up the front, side and cuff with buttons. Skirt fastens up the side with a metal zipper and a button.

Set shows light signs of wear. There is a faint copper colored stain near the edge of the peplum on the back and a very faint gray stain on the back of the bodice. (See photos) Both are hardly visible. You really have to inspect closely to see them. The edge of the waist on the skirt has a small rip, which is not noticeable when worn. (See photos). Still wearable as is. None of these flaws overly detract. Priced accordingly.
